The first case of West Nile Virus in Peterborough region this year – has been confirmed by the public health unit.
The infection was found in a mosquito, however so far this year no humans have become infected.
Peterborough Public Health communications lead Sarah Gill talks about precautions you can take to stop the mosquito borne disease.
Gill says traps are set weekly in the City and County to gather mosquito specimens for West Nile virus testing.
