A very familiar name is going to be taking over a top leadership spot in the business community.
Sarah Budd has been appointed as the new President and CEO of the Peterborough and the Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce.
Budd’s background includes starting and running her own business here in Peterborough, serving as National Sales and Marketing Manager for a chain of boutique stores, professor in the School of Business at Fleming College, and more than 14 years as CEO of Habitat for Humanity Peterborough, where she led the organization from 5 staff building one home per year, to more than 40 staff building more than 40 homes per year and a 53-unit condominium.
Budd says she is committed to bringing the membership, board of directors and community leaders together to not only continue to build a strong, resilient business environment, but also a stronger more connected community.
She will officially join the Chamber on September 12th, preparing to take over the reins from Stuart Harrison, who retires on October 31st.
