The upcoming Mark’s All Hands On Deck Food Drive is just over a week away.
General Manager of Kawartha Food Share, Ashlee Aitken, tells us the food bank is hurting for supplies.
Aitken says it’s also getting harder to secure supplies.
Routinely the agency is waiting several weeks instead of days for a food purchase order to be filled.
The Mark’s All Hands on Deck Food Drive, which is being held August 11th, has drop off locations around the compass: Metro on Chemong Road, Foodland on Sherbrooke and Hunter, and No Frills locations on George Street and Lansdowne Street.
