You’re going to notice more cops walking the beat across the city, particularly in the downtown.
Peterborough Police Service has redeployed the officers in the Community Services Unit to conduct foot patrols.
Constable Tim Fish says the initiative is part of proactive policing measures to meet with community members, local businesses, and visitors.
Meantime, Police Constable Lauren Davis says is also taking part in the initiative.
Davis says if you see any of the officers in addition to the bike patrol, feel free to stop and say hi or have a chat.
