Peterborough city council will look a bit closer at next year’s budget.
At a meeting tonight, discussion will take place around the all-inclusive tax increase for 2023.
Staff have recommended an all-inclusive increase of between three and four per cent, which would equal between $51 and $68 to the homeowner’s bill for every $100,000 of assessment per property.
Part of the reason for the jump is a drop in revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic and an overall increase in costs.
According to the laid out timeline, council will to adopt the budget January 30th.
