A reminder to you that vehicle owners still have to renew their licence plate every one or two years.
Peterborough Police have noticed a trend of people with expired plates.
Traffic Sergeant Ryan Wilson released a video on social media about the matter.
The reason for the renewal, which is free, is to confirm automobile insurance is valid and so the driver can pay any outstanding Highway 407 tolls or other municipal fines.
Drivers must also continue to renew their driver’s licence every five years online or at a ServiceOntario centre.
