It has been a very busy six months for Peterborough and the Kawarthas Economic Development.
President and CEO Rhonda Keenan presented the mid-year progress report at council last night.
Highlights on economic development activities for the first half of the year include:
-20 Businesses started
-241 Businesses supported
-305 Visitors served
-7 leads responded to
-6970 active job postings identified through the Workforce Development Board
It also successfully transitioned from peterboroughed.ca to InvestPTBO.ca website.
In its entrepreneurship support efforts, PKED received 62 inquiries, held 102 consultations with small business startups, and hosted 25 workshops.
