Peterborough-Kawartha’s MP is calling on the federal government to drop its mandates and testing requirements for travellers.
Michelle Ferreri, who is the the Conservative shadow minister for tourism, addressed the issue yesterday in a joint statement with MP Melissa Lantsman.
The statement says mandates and testing are behind the long lines and delays at airports across the country and that Conservatives will continue to follow the advice of experts and advocate for governments to immediately revert to pre-pandemic rules and service levels for travel.
The Canadian Press reports international arrivals at Canadian airports are so backed up that people are being kept on planes for over an hour on the tarmac.
