Norwood’s own Three Days Grace put out their seventh studio album earlier this month.
The album is their first since 2018’s Outsider, and precedes a world tour that begins later this year.
The band is getting ready to hit the road, and bassist Brad Walst is excited.
Walst notes that the band hasn’t had a big tour since late 2019, joking that they’ve had to shake off the rust following their longest touring hiatus.
The Peterborough County native says the pandemic presented some new experiences when it came to creating the album and preparing for the tour.
Despite the challenges, Walst says he appreciated the opportunity to spend some time close to home.
Walst continues, noting the concept of “home” hits hard in the context of the new album, which is partly dedicated to the town of Mayfield, Kentucky.
Three Days Grace’s new album Explosions is available wherever you get your music, their first show in Ontario will be in Burlington on June 11th.
