Henry Clarke has set his eyes on the mayor’s chair.
The long-time city councillor has announced he will submit his paperwork at the Clerk’s Office on Thursday morning, before holding a campaign launch at the Lions Community Centre at 7 p.m.
Clarke represents Monaghan Ward and is the Housing Chair.
Current Northcrest councillor Stephen Wright will also be running to replace Mayor Diane Therrien.
According to speculation, former councillor and Peterborough MPP Jeff Leal is also considering running but hasn’t made any official declaration.
