Ontario Provincial Police have released additional information and photos surrounding the homicide of 18-year-old Alexander Tobin in Omemee in February 2020.
Witnesses have described two suspects that were seen fleeing the building on foot and then departing the area in a motor vehicle on Highway 7. Two men were originally taken into custody, however the charges were withdrawn shortly afterwards.
Police addressed the media this morning, and Detective Inspector Chris Josiah says suspect descriptions of two men seen fleeing Tobin’s residence are now available.
Josiah adds that they believe the gun that was used in the shooting had been seized during a separate criminal investigation.
A second video from March 3, 2020 was released depicting three suspects attending Murison Park in Scarborough in a black Audi sedan. Two suspects are seen on foot transporting and are believed to have discarded evidence connected to Alex’s murder. Police are seeking the public’s help to identify the owner of the black Audi sedan and the persons holding what appears to be a blue winter jacket and a garbage bag.

Earlier this year, on the two year anniversary of his death, police released a video-plea as well. Last summer, OPP offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever was responsible, but no news of any arrests has been made public to this point. Alternate photos of all three suspects can be found below.

Anyone with any information is urged to reach out to either OPP or Crime Stoppers. A tip-line dedicated to this homicide investigation has also been created, and can be reached at 1-844-677-5020.
