Local teacher Aaron McFadden slept outside all last week, to raise both money and awareness for YES Shelter for Youth and Families in Peterborough.
McFadden says he raised more than double his goal of $1500.
He says there were some nights sleeping outside that were rougher than others.
Even though its not his first time sleeping outside in the winter, McFadden says its always a wakeup call for the experiences some people have every day.
McFadden added that another sleepout is being planned in March.
