Electric City FC has announced two more player signings, one for the men’s team and one for the women’s side.
For the men’s program, ECFC says London-native Ethan Gopaul will join the squad. He’s spent time with the Vancouver Whitecaps USL affiliate, and more recently with FC London, being named an all-star twice. In 2021, Gopaul scored 11 goals in 12 matches.
On the women’s team, U Sports National Champion Hailey Walsh was announced as their latest addition. The 22-year-old played for the highly regarded University of Ottawa Gee-Gees program, and was a 2018 OUA champion, a 2018 U Sports National Champion, a 2019 OUA Bronze Medalist, and Champion of the inaugural 2019 FISU University World Cup in China. She’s also played a number of successful seasons in League1 Ontario with Durham United, FC Oshawa and Darby FC.
Player announcements are expected to continue over the coming weeks as the team builds its roster leading to training camp in early April.
