20 new jobs are coming to the region thanks to three investments from the provincial government – one of them to Kawartha Metals, which will add 12 new jobs.
Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Vic Fedeli says it’s great to see companies in smaller areas expanding.
Kawartha Metals is investing nearly $3.28 million in new, top-line equipment to expand its range of products and provide more value-added services to its growing customer base. The province has chipped in with over $300,000 towards the project.
The company is a supplier of steel, aluminum, brass, and plastics material in over 5,000 different sizes and grades and works with a wide range of customers, including manufacturers, fabricators and contractors.
The other two companies receiving provincial money locally are Colonial Log & Timber Inc. in Lindsay and Bélair Mechatronics Inc. in Omemee.
