Peterborough Public Library’s CEO is excited that a new location of the library will be housed inside the new twin-pad arena.
Jennifer Jones says this is something that’s come together quite quickly.
Jones says originally it was set to be a smaller space, but instead they’re moving the entire DelaFosse branch.
The DelaFosse branch has been closed because of weight-bearing issues with the floor, while it houses over 10,000 books. Money for the addition would include $2-million from the City’s Canada Community Building Fund allocation, $1-million from the sale of the current DelaFosse property.
