The living wage in Peterborough is still on the rise, and the United Way of Peterborough and District wants to see more employers paying that wage.
CEO Jim Russell says the living wage locally works out to about $18.35 an hour, and that being a certified living wage employer may help some businesses coming out of the pandemic.
Russell says employers being certified living wage employers also means staff stay in the role long term.
