More people will be able to attend Petes games than originally thought.
The Ontario Hockey League today announced that following the Government of Ontario’s expansion of spectator capacity limits at indoor sporting venues, the League’s 17 Ontario-based facilities will be welcoming up to 50 per cent of their respective fan capacities for games beginning Saturday, September 25th.
OHL Commissioner David Branch says he remains grateful for the continued conversations with the Government and public health officials led by Premier Doug Ford, Minister of Sport Lisa MacLeod and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kieran Moore.
With the new permitted regulations, the Petes will be able to accommodate approximately 2,000 fans at the Memorial Centre starting Thursday, Oct. 14, with current Season Ticket Members and Suite Holders being guaranteed tickets for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Petes Director of Marketing and Growth, Shelbi Kilcollins says the safety of the community has always been and will always be the top priority and she feels they can safely accommodate a full crowd of vaccinated people, but is excited to be able to allow 2,000 fans to enjoy Petes hockey.
