There’s now a fifth local candidate ahead of the September 20th federal election.
Paul Lawton will represent the People’s Party of Canada on the ballot later this month, and says in a perfect world, his party wouldn’t have to exist.
Lawton says support for the Maxime Bernier-led PPC has grown both nationally and locally, and is expecting better numbers on both fronts when Canadians go to the polls.
He adds that the party isn’t against vaccines, but more so against them being mandatory and costing people their jobs if they aren’t vaccinated.
In the 2019 federal election, Alexander Murphy ran for the People’s Party of Canada, getting 890 votes.
