Peterborough is being looked at as a potential test market for some new electric microcars.
City Councillor Don Vassiliadis says it’s exciting to be considered as a test market, and feels Peterborough would be a good fit.
Vassiliadis says he’s going to suggest to council to allow the pilot project if Peterborough were to be selected.
The microcars are called Sarit, and they’d cost less than $5,000 each. They run on a regular car battery, and can be charged with a wall outlet.
