There was a death on the water over the weekend.
Peterborough County OPP say on Saturday morning, officers were called after a male failed to surface while swimming in the Crowe River in Havelock-Belmont-Methuen.
The victim was located by bystanders and transported to hospital but he was later pronounced dead.
The situation remains under investigation.
