Peterborough’s Medical Officer of Health says patience has been key when it comes to getting vaccines locally.
Dr. Rosana Salvaterra says she understands it can be frustrating, however local residents have handled it well.
Salvaterra adds that about 42% of residents have been vaccinated, 2% higher than their original goal for this time. Salvaterra says the new timeline for vaccine appointments is a good sign, and she thinks it’s a testament to the work done by governments.
Bookings will be open to all residents 50 and older and people with high-risk health conditions on Thursday.
