If you were born in 1951 or before, you can now book your COVID-19 vaccination appointment.
Peterborough Public Health says the provincial booking system is now open to residents who are 70 years and older.
Appointments can be made either online at www.ontario.ca/bookvaccine at any time, or by calling 249-494-5631 from Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Rosana Salvaterra, says with more than 9,000 local residents in the 70-74 age group, they are excited to increase the number of people who can now be immunized.
Dr. Salvaterra also noted that more than 3,000 people will shortly receive an email for the 70-74 age group at their request by signing up as part of the Notify Me program.
