We’re about to find out whether or not the city will give members another chance to give their input on the plan to put in a gender-neutral change room at the Sport and Wellness Centre.
A group of about 50 people stood outside City Hall this afternoon with signs against the concept.
Lindsay Shaddy says more people need to be able to weigh-in on this major development.
Bev Quinlan says he’s hopeful the decision to re-post the survey goes through tonight at council.
PTBO Today spoke with Councillor and Chair of Parks, Arenas and Recreation, Lesley Parnell recently and she says this design is being proposed because of much-needed renovations at the facility.
The gender-neutral change room would have 46 private changing stalls inside and Parnell says it’ll be more private and more accessible.
Council meets tonight at 6:30.
