Peterborough Public Health Medical Officer of Health Dr. Rosana Salvaterra will be calling it a career later this year.
Salvaterra has served as the area’s top doctor for 13 years, and says she will forever cherish the outstanding team at the health unit. She says she’s been working since she was young, and the plan was always to retire at age 65.
Salvaterra adds that she wants to make it as easy as possible for Peterborough Public Health when she does retire.
She was also given an Award of Excellent in 2013 from the Ontario College of Family Physicians. Salvaterra will speak to the media today at noon, we’ll provide more information as it becomes available.
