The ‘Stand with Tim’ fundraiser put on by Peterborough Cares is making a return.
Peterborough Police Deputy Chief Tim Farquharson will be standing outside on March 26th from noon until 2 a.m. to bring in money for the YES Shelter for Youth and Families and One Roof and One City.
PTBO Today spoke with Peterborough Cares Board Member Lindsay Mitchell.
Mitchell outlines what you can expect at the corner of King and George.
Deputy Chief Farquharson will be outside from noon until 2 a.m. Peterborough Cares also announced a $10,000 donation to the YES Shelter.
Meantime, Simal Iftikhar is going to be hosting a virtual sleep out under the Peterborough Cares umbrella and raising money for the YES Shelter for Youth and Families.
She says it is going to be challenging but well worth it.
The sleep out will take place overnight between March 26th and 27th from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m.
