If the Peterborough Regional Health Centre needs extra space, the Evinrude Centre could serve as a valuable location.
Vice-president and chief of staff, Dr. Lynn Mikula, says they have plans in place in the event of a major surge, which at this point, hasn’t happened.
Dr. Mikula says the centre has 28 ICU beds and if needed, and has space to add 24 more.
