Innovation Cluster has opened applications for its Start Up Visa Program after being officially designated as an incubator by the federal government in November.
President John Gillis says this will open a lot of doors for businesses to get started right here in Peterborough.
President of Peterborough & The Kawarthas Economic Development Rhonda Keenan says the program is just one more example of how this mid-sized region competes with larger destinations to attract and grow new companies.
Since announcing the program, Innovation Cluster has received interest from over 40 companies worldwide, including in Russia, India, Iran, the United States and China. Innovation Cluster, which is located at King and George Streets in Peterborough, is the only rural incubator designated by the federal government.
