Peterborough will soon be home to a COVID-19 pharmacy testing centre.
Peterborough Public Health Medical Officer of Health Dr. Rosana Salvaterra confirmed the news.
She says the specific pharmacy hasn’t been made public yet, but news will be coming soon with that information. Meantime, Salvaterra adds those experiencing any symptoms, even if mild, are encouraged to book an appointment for the drive-thru testing centre.
With winter around the corner, she also gave a reminder about how contagious COVID-19 is, and reminds everyone not to let their guard down.
Peterborough Public Health has also replaced its local face-covering guidelines with the new provincial standards implemented earlier this month.
