A 25 year old Peterborough man is facing a slew of charges, following an investigation in the west end last night.
Police were called to a Nevin Avenue home, after a man was caught trying to breaking into a garage, but the suspect was apprehended by a witness, while someone else called 9-1-1. Officials say that the witness was assaulted in the process.
When officers arrived, they arrested Ryan Girard, and say that he was found to be in possession of stolen property.
He is charged with:
- Assault
- Break and enter
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Fail to comply with a probation order
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today.
