A recommendation to close Northcrest Arena is about to be revisited.
A decision on the fate of the facility was deferred earlier this year to give staff and user groups a chance to discuss ways to try and save it.
Staff reports $1.4-million worth of repairs had to be made in order to keep the arena up and running until 2024.
Ultimately, the Peterborough Girls’ Hockey Association and the Peterborough Hockey Association decided against accepting a surcharge for its members.
