Peterborough Police have revealed that they cordoned off a portion of the downtown following a stabbing this morning.
Officials say that the incident took place in an alley between Simcoe and Charlotte at around 10am, when a 30 year old man was approached by a lone male, who the victim apparently did not know. The male reportedly pulled out a knife, and stabbed the victim twice, before taking off towards Charlotte Street.
The victim was transported to PRHC, and then later transferred to a Toronto hospital for further treatment.
The suspect, 23 year old Dillon Cowen was located in the area later in the afternoon, and was charged with attempted murder. He’ll be in court tomorrow.
