The Township of Douro-Dummer and its Public Works Department have launched a new emergency phone number.
The special emergency line was created as a response to suggestions given by the public.
Mayor J. Murray Jones says the new communication tool will assist in responding to serious situations in a more timely manner.
The number is 705-926-0214 and will be staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
