Some local entrepreneurs have received a financial boost.
Last night, two teams won money as part of FastStart Peterborough’s ‘Pitch It!’ competition.
‘Eco-Care’, which provides lawn care services in an eco-friendly way, took home $350 and top prize.
‘Paper Planter Project’, using compostable planting containers as educational modules, won $150.
Judges included Rhonda Keenan, President and CEO, Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development; Yves LaFortune, Executive Director, Peterborough Region Angel Network and John Gillis, President and CEO, Innovation Cluster – Peterborough and the Kawarthas.
Organizers say many participants from previous Pitch It! competitions have applied to enter the Innovation Cluster incubator and FastStart programming.
