Sad news in the Peterborough sports and broadcasting world, as word got out that Gary Dalliday passed away this morning.
The Diller has he was affectionately known, lost his long time battle with cancer.
It was in December of last year that Gary was told that the cancer had returned, and that his chance of survival was minimal, so he decided to live his last few months as best as he could. He was given up to 6 months by medial professionals, and 9 months later, that battle finally came to an end.

His son Pete, who he worked with in the broadcast booth doing Petes games on the radio, admits that he loved Peterborough and he loved local sports
Pete remembered a time that he gave his father a bit of a fright, or let down, during their time broadcasting together
Don Berry knew, and was friends and worked with Gary for decades
The term once a Pete, always a Pete certainly rang true for Gary, as Petes GM Mike Oke remembers that ‘The Diller’ was a big part of the organization
Gary was 76. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
