Parents of students at an east end school have been sent home a warning letter.
In the letter, in which Extra 90.5/Oldies 96.7 attained, and was drafted by the school’s principal, Darryl Whitney, two students of Otonabee Valley Public School say that they saw a man taking photographs, while they were on Humber Drive behind the school, waiting for a friend.
The students say that the man was inside his car, holding a camera to the drivers side window when the noticed him, but he did not get out of his vehicle.
The letter states that the man drove off when they went into the schoolyard to tell a teacher about the man.
He is described as being in his 40’s with a goatee that came to his chest and moustache, and could have been driving a black Dodge Journey or similar vehicle.
The school’s principal says that police were notified, and ask parents to review and remind their kids about safety precautions dealing with strangers.
