One person was airlifted to hospital after a serious two-vehicle collision shut down part of County Road 4 in Douro-Dummer Township.
Details of the crash were released yesterday, which Peterborough County OPP says happened just before 2 pm Thursday on County Road 4 south of County Road 6.
Police, fire and EMS arrived to find a sport utility vehicle and a delivery van with heavy damage.
Investigators say the southbound SUV struck the delivery van as it was pulling onto the roadway from a residence. The driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries and was flown from the scene by ORNGE Air. A passenger in the SUV and the driver of the van were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
County Road 4 was closed between Caves Road and County Road 6 while emergency crews and police handled the scene and removed the vehicles.
