Fleming College is set to receive $1.5-million over the next five years thanks to a new grant from the Federal Government.
Mobilize grants provide Canadian colleges funding to acquire resources to address research priorities.
Fleming will use the funding for several initiatives, including expanding its research to new areas at the College.
President Maureen Adamson believes the funding will support new collaborations and researchers and will lead to local innovation and learning opportunities.
Additionally, part of the funding will go towards Fleming’s three research centres, the Centre for Advancement of Water and Wastewater Technologies, the Centre for Innovative Aquaculture Production and the Centre for Advancement in Mechatronics and Industrial Internet of Things.
