With 92 active cases of COVID-19 locally, Peterborough’s top doctor says it’s not a good trend in numbers.
Dr. Rosana Salvaterra says she isn’t sure if the rise is from people Christmas shopping, or seeing others outside of their household during the holidays.
Salvaterra says it’s tough to pinpoint exactly how some people got the virus, because there’s been too many gatherings.
Salvaterra adds if we weren’t in the midst of a provincial shutdown, we would likely be in a red zone.
We’ll get the latest local numbers from Peterborough Public Health this afternoon.
